Testimonials
Given the old adage, “the customer is always right,” then who better to look to for insights regarding Sarah Saunders’ performance and capabilities than to her clients and professional colleagues?
With that in mind, we’ve provided a series of testimonials from those who know Saunders and her work the best...
Regarding Saunders’ exceptional presentation skills:
“I've been in the trenches with Sarah before and I'd take her with me again tomorrow, if given the chance...When we did sales presentations together, Sarah always showed a real talent for winning customers to her side. She's sharp, she's determined, and she's fiercely competitive, which you need to be in this business – and she knows her way around a complex selling environment.”

“Sarah put together a fantastic presentation to train our bank employees on Proactive Selling techniques, coupled with practical tips on how to use Microsoft Outlook to better drive our sales and marketing efforts. Both of these skills will be critical to us as we expand our bank's success in the community.
This training session for Bank of the James posed a number of significant challenges, and yet Sarah more than rose to the occasion. Because we are in such a high touch, high service business, we bankers can sometimes be a bit slow to adapt to new technologies, particularly when we're asked to leave behind a paper-based system that may have worked well for us in the past. Sarah did an excellent job – through her lively manner and genuine enthusiasm for the subject – of convincing even some of our more seasoned executives to give Outlook a try.
Also, because I felt the training would be so valuable to us as an organization, I asked Sarah to train a wide variety of participants all at the same time – in addition to myself, we had everyone from senior lending officers and branch managers to our bank tellers participate. Sarah kept everyone engaged through four straight hours of training. I believe we all learned a tremendous amount, and had a good time, too!
Based on our experience here at Bank of the James, I would wholeheartedly recommend Sarah Saunders to anyone wishing to enhance their presentation skills. She’s a master of persuasion.”

“Sarah and I served together on the RosettaNet iHub Focused Process team during 2000-2001. Our working group included representatives from some of the biggest High Tech companies in the world, including Motorola, Cisco, and Texas Instruments, along with most of the major e-business software vendors. Sometimes, getting all those folks to agree on something was about as easy as herding cats.
Several months into the project, it became clear we were going to need to develop a presentation we could use to explain to the rest of the RosettaNet membership exactly what we were doing, and why – and how the iHub initiative was expected to affect the Tech industry as a whole.
Sarah took the lead on drafting the presentation, and did a great job of incorporating inputs from a wide number of team members, while still ensuring we told a clear story. Thank goodness she did, too, because the job of delivering the presentation eventually fell to me.
Take my word for it, Sarah's got a real knack for presentations.”

Regarding Saunders’ ability to write copy that intrigues, delights, and spurs customers to action:
“When Sarah and I have worked together on projects in the past, she has demonstrated an uncanny ability to take a complex, even esoteric technology, and describe it in marketing terms that our clients, investors, and business partners could understand – and get genuinely excited about.
Part of Sarah's secret is this: she maintains a razor-sharp focus on what matters most to the customer...She’s also a helluva good writer.”

“I have been repeatedly impressed with both Sarah’s communications and project management skills. She is truly an exceptional writer and editor. In addition, she has proven time and again that she has the dedication, energy, and ability to drive a project to successful completion – whether that has meant working long hours to meet a deadline, or negotiating patiently with members of a project team to ensure delivery of an end-product of the highest possible quality. She is an attentive, responsive listener, and has shown a tremendous ability to adjust to Cisco’s business practices.
Finally, Sarah’s knowledge of supply chain management and general good business practice runs deep, as do her business development instincts and marketing knowledge. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again, and would highly recommend her services to others.”

"In mid-2002, I needed to get Vastera’s first-ever Homeland Security brochure out the door ASAP, but my in-house marketing team was already overloaded.
I needed someone who could parachute in, and – with only high level direction from me – successfully drive the project to completion.
Sarah delivered exactly what I was looking for. She took a complex topic and explained it in clear, compelling terms. The brochure she produced – which proved highly effective – gave our sales reps the ideal platform for addressing our clients’ Homeland Security needs."
